The pioneer beneficiary of the IA-Foundation bursary and scholarship scheme, Opeyemi Grace Adedara has been offered a role as an Administrative Intern at the organization following her completion of the mandatory one-year National Youth Service.
IA-Foundation supported Opeyemi through her university education at the Federal University of Technology, Akure where she studied Food Science and Technology. This was after she lost her mum to cancer and her retired dad could not sustain her sponsorship in the higher institution. Following IA-Foundation intervention, Opeyemi graduated in flying colours and has continued to receive mentorship and support from the Foundation, staff and board members.
In a bid to equip her with relevant job experiences and improve her employability skills, the Board of the Foundation offered Opeyemi a one-year paid internship as an Administrative Internship.
Our investment in Opeyemi reaffirms that our approach to the out-of-school children crisis is holistic, involving opportunities for mentorship and support towards ensuring all our beneficiaries attain their full potentials and achieve their purposes in life.
We congratulate Opeyemi and wish her a fruitful year at the Foundation.
