IA-Foundation Board appoints Human Rights Lawyer, Femi Falana SAN as Patron
The Board of IA-Foundation has appointed human rights lawyer and senior advocate of Nigeria, Mr Femi Falana as the first patron of the organization.
The Vice Chairman of the Foundation, Mr. Diran Famakinwa made the announcement during the recently concluded IA-Foundation Out-of-School Children Summit 2023 in Lagos, Nigeria.
According to him, the decision of the Board to honour Mr. Femi Falana is in recognition of all his tireless advocacy and efforts to ensure the rights of indigent children to free Education, as provided by the Nigerian constitution is respected.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Femi Falana said he accepts the honour unconditionally.
Earlier in his Keynote address at the Out-of-school Children Summit, Mr. Falana had pledged support to work with IA-Foundation to ensure state chapters of the Foundation is opened across the Federation and work collaboratively to ensure people are properly educated about their rights to education in Nigeria.
