Programme Overview
Education should not be determined by a family’s financial circumstances. The IA-Foundation Education and Bursary Scholarship programme supports learners who may face financial barriers to accessing and remaining in education. Through targeted educational support, the programme helps reduce the burden on families and gives deserving children and young people a stronger opportunity to stay in school and reach their potential.
Key Programme Areas
- Education-related financial support
- Support for learners facing financial barriers
- A focus on continuity and access to education
- Transparent, needs-based beneficiary selection
- Opportunities for donors and partners to invest directly in education
Why This Programme Matters
For many families, the cost of education can become a significant barrier. School fees, learning materials, uniforms, books, transportation and other education-related expenses can place pressure on household income. When these challenges become overwhelming, children may be at risk of missing school or discontinuing their education. Our scholarship and bursary support is designed to help address these barriers and keep education within reach.
What We Do
IA-Foundation provides education-focused financial assistance to eligible beneficiaries, helping them meet identified educational needs. Support is designed around the circumstances of each beneficiary and may contribute to essential costs required for continued participation in education.
Who We Support
The programme is designed for children and young people who demonstrate educational need and face financial or social barriers that could affect their ability to access or continue their education. Specific eligibility and selection criteria can be published on the application page.
Our Goal
Our goal is simple: to help deserving learners remain in education, build confidence, develop their abilities and have a fairer chance to shape a better future.
