Gift Aid Form

Gift Aid

Gift Aid is a simple and powerful way to increase the value of your donations to IA-Foundation at no extra cost to you. By allowing us to claim back the basic rate of tax on your donation, we receive an additional 25p for every £1 you give. That means a £10 donation becomes £12.50, helping us reach even more out-of-school children across Nigeria.

How Does Gift Aid Work?

If you are a UK taxpayer, you can opt into Gift Aid by ticking the 'Gift Aid' box when making a donation, or by completing a short declaration form, either before or after your donation. The form simply confirms that you consent to IA-Foundation claiming tax relief on your contributions. It only takes a few minutes, and once completed, all future donations will automatically qualify for Gift Aid. We will also be able to reclaim Gift Aid on donations made within the past four years from the date you sign your declaration.

Why Does Gift Aid Matter to IA-Foundation?

Every child we support deserves access to quality education, and Gift Aid helps us do more for them. The additional funds we receive through Gift Aid enable us to:

Your generosity already changes lives. With Gift Aid, it goes even further.

Do I qualify for Gift Aid?

To qualify for Gift Aid you must have paid income or capital gains tax (in the UK) for each tax year at least equal to the tax that all the charities that you donate to will reclaim on your gifts for that tax year. Other taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify.

There are a few ways you can set up a Gift Aid declaration. The easiest way is to donate here and provide some information about you
Alternatively, please download the gift aid declaration form  and return it to:
IA-FOUNDATION and email to info@ia-foundation.org

39, Malt Kiln Place, Dartford, Kent DA2 6FW
You can also call us on +44 3333391005 to make an oral declaration.

You need to have a separate Gift Aid declaration for each charity that you support with Gift Aid.

Gift Aid can be reclaimed on the gifts of the individuals who already have or request a Gift Aid declaration for collections such as anniversary gifts in lieu, funeral donations and party collections. For such collections to IA-Foundation please send in all the cheques together and each person who can should write ‘please reclaim Gift Aid’ on the form/envelope in which they put their donation as well as their full name and address.

If your circumstances change please contact us by emailing info@ia-foundation.org or call us on +44 3333391005
