Gift Aid
Gift Aid is a simple and powerful way to increase the value of your donations to IA-Foundation at no extra cost to you. By allowing us to claim back the basic rate of tax on your donation, we receive an additional 25p for every £1 you give. That means a £10 donation becomes £12.50, helping us reach even more out-of-school children across Nigeria.
How Does Gift Aid Work?
If you are a UK taxpayer, you can opt into Gift Aid by ticking the 'Gift Aid' box when making a donation, or by completing a short declaration form, either before or after your donation. The form simply confirms that you consent to IA-Foundation claiming tax relief on your contributions. It only takes a few minutes, and once completed, all future donations will automatically qualify for Gift Aid. We will also be able to reclaim Gift Aid on donations made within the past four years from the date you sign your declaration.
Why Does Gift Aid Matter to IA-Foundation?
Every child we support deserves access to quality education, and Gift Aid helps us do more for them. The additional funds we receive through Gift Aid enable us to:
- Enrol more out-of-school children into learning
- Expand our programmes and community outreach
- Strengthen our advocacy for children's right to education
- Sustain the resources and support our beneficiaries depend on
Your generosity already changes lives. With Gift Aid, it goes even further.
How to Sign Up
Signing up is quick and easy. Simply fill out our online Gift Aid declaration form, or download a copy to submit by post. You only need to do this once, and it will cover all donations made in the last four years as well as any future contributions.
Thank You

Where your donation goes?
Do I qualify for Gift Aid?
To qualify for Gift Aid you must have paid income or capital gains tax (in the UK) for each tax year at least equal to the tax that all the charities that you donate to will reclaim on your gifts for that tax year. Other taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify.
How do I inform you my gifts are eligible for Gift Aid?
There are a few ways you can set up a Gift Aid declaration. The easiest way is to donate here and provide some information about you
Alternatively, please download the gift aid declaration form and return it to:

What if I already have a Gift Aid declaration with another charity?

Can Gift Aid be reclaimed on a collection I have made?
