Advocacy and Education Awareness

Programme Overview

Education challenges cannot be solved by one organisation alone. The IA-Foundation Advocacy and Education Awareness programme uses public engagement, awareness activities and evidence-informed advocacy to draw attention to issues that affect children, learners, families and education systems.

Key Programme Areas

What We Advocate For

We promote conversations around access to education, educational equity, child development, school participation, learning opportunities and other issues that influence the ability of children and young people to thrive.

Our Approach

We create and support platforms that inform the public, amplify important education issues and encourage stakeholders to take action. This may include awareness campaigns, educational content, community engagement, stakeholder dialogues, public conversations and advocacy initiatives.

Why Awareness Matters

People can only respond effectively to challenges they understand. By making education issues easier to understand and bringing different voices into the conversation, we can encourage informed decisions, stronger partnerships and greater public accountability.

Who We Engage

Our advocacy and awareness work may engage parents and caregivers, learners, educators, policymakers, community leaders, civil society organisations, development partners, the private sector, the media and members of the wider public.

Our Vision

We envision an environment where education is recognised as a shared responsibility and where informed citizens and decision-makers work together to remove barriers to learning.
